Holy F**k Interview

Who are you, where are you from and lastly, tell us something most people won’t know about you guys: We’re Holy Fuck. From Toronto Canada.

Please tell us your philosophy towards life: Don’t worry. Have fun. Take chances. Make a difference. Be kind. Be daring.

Why  Holy F**k? Is there a story behind this particularly name: The name wasn’t really made to be taken too seriously. This project started out as something to do for fun, and play for our friends. So, the name was more an attempt to make our friends laugh more than anything.

Could you briefly describe your music-making process: It usually starts out as a small idea, or “Seed”. Then we build upon that idea, and try and make something cool grow out of that idea.

What are your top five tunes of all time: 1. Electric Avenue by Eddy Grant 2. The Message by Grand Master Flash & the Furious Five 3. Manic Depression by Jimi Hendrix 4. (Your love keeps lifting me) Higher and Higher by Jackie Wilson 5. Seasons in the Abyss by Slayer

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard you before: Bzzzzz..ffffttttttt, chung, chung, chung, sqweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. brap brap brap brap.

What advice would you give to a upcoming DJ/band: Try not to do what everyone else is doing right now.

Where do you want to see yourself in the next few years when it comes to music: I’d still like to be experimenting, and coming up with new concepts. Doing more studio production is important to me right now. Brian and I have started producing more music lately. We haven’t been in the studio in a while (because we’ve been touring so much), it’s easy to forget how much fun it can be to work on recordings.

What is the greatest compliment anyone has ever paid to you regarding your music: All compliments are great! Even the little “nice job” ones are satisfying. Better than getting boo’ed off the stage!

Holy F**ck and The Klaxons will be DJ-ing tonight at AVALON! Go here for more details.
