Quadradão (São Paulo, Brazil)

As a multi-disciplinary design unit, Quadradão claims to be able to design anything from a poster to a chair, and acts as a one-stop-shop for everything from materials to the execution. Conceptually, it has been heavily influenced by contemporary architectural trends, though not as a work method.

Established in 2008, Quadradão was founded by three university colleagues, Aline Coutinho, Andrea Ribeiro and Leandro Lopes. In Portuguese, the studio’s name means a big square — clear and easily recognisable geometric form that can be represented in many ways.
